Since Deacon Leo Okonkwo arrived in Chicago on August 12th it has been non-stop mission activity. Through the Archdiocese of Chicago Mission office, HEAL has made mission appeals in four parishes for our plans for a health clinic. We have decided to name our health clinic after Sr. Callista Utazi, MOJ who recently passed away due to heart complications. Her life was a great blessing to the mission of HEAL in the service of poor and marginalized orphans, widows, and rural villagers. Here, Deacon Leo is preaching the homily at St. Mary of the Annunciation in Mundelein and appealing to congregants for assistance in our plans.
