Quality education is more of a luxury in Nigeria than an available necessity.  I wrote recently about how concern for day-to-day survival can diminish the importance of education in the minds of subsistence farming families.  This is one of the main challenges to forming Servant Leaders (Mt. 20:28) in the rural setting of SE Nigeria.  But it is these rural families, excluded from real economic opportunity and education through a corrupt system, that HEAL is called to serve!
