MOJ Convent

Crumbling Shelter Needs Repair and Renovation!

HEAL operates a K-12 school in Akpim village called BOMCA Academy, in which 417 students are enrolled and 31 teachers and 12 MOJ Sisters comprise the school staff. The MOJ Sisters provide religious education and character formation for the students and lead them in daily common prayers, farm work, and other extracurriculars. However, because the MOJs do not have their own home, they live in the school building thus taking up space that could be used for educational purposes on behalf of the students. Constructing a convent for the MOJs on available property near the school will free up space for eight new classrooms in the school building. Also, providing the MOJs with their own home acknowledges their special role in the mission and provides them with the accommodations and amenities they need to be their best every day. Please help!
