Education for orphans is a primary focus for us at HEAL. With 70 children living and learning at our home school in Nigeria, we need assistance in order to improve both their learning environment and their teachers’ qualifications.

By completing our new Kindergarten facility, we have made huge strides toward meeting the first goal!

Though the construction work is done, our budget exceeded our first fundraising push to complete the job. Therefore, we still owe our contractors for some of the work.

Please donate to help us meet our obligations!

Educating the Educators

Education also requires passionate teachers with solid credentials. Our orphans’ primary educators are the Messengers of Justice Brothers and Sisters (MOJ’s), a new religious congregation founded by HEAL Vice-President Leo Okonkwo.

Thankfully, we have an opportunity to continue the MOJ’s education in neighboring Cameroon. With your help, they will be better equipped to serve our children and prepare them for the future. Please donate!

Coming soon: Nigeria Visit

Next we’ll be beginning a short series covering my recent trip to Nigeria, where I met with the missionaries, children, and widows of HEAL. You will be inspired by their joy and work, even as they struggle due to scarce resources.

Thank you for being a part of our HEAL family!
