We can all recall times when behavioral dynamics within our own families fostered division and disharmony rather than unity and peace. And, while we should always focus on the good times and be grateful for our families, we shouldn’t ignore the real harm that adverse family behavior can cause.

We can all recall times when behavioral dynamics within our own families fostered division and disharmony rather than unity and peace. And, while we should always focus on the good times and be grateful for our families, we shouldn’t ignore the real harm that adverse family behavior can cause.

On Saturday, June 2nd, I will be speaking on “Family Healing through Self-Emptying Service in the African Social Context.” This upcoming special event is FREE and open to the public and co-sponsored by HEAL and Loquate.tv’s, “Where Work Meets Faith” Small Groups. Loquate.tv founder, Jeff Liautaud, will also be speaking on “Family Healing and Contemplative Prayer.

This workshop on “Family Behavior and God’s Healing” will be a great opportunity for you or someone you know to learn about how family behavior can lead to family breakdown AND the means by which God provides for family healing. I strongly encourage you to attend and to bring two or three friends!

The event will be from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Parish in Park Ridge, IL. The program begins at 8:00 a.m. with an optional Mass in the main church at 320 S. Washington Ave. and continues in the Kinane Parish Center at 215 Ridge Terrace with a light brunch and social followed by the presentations.
